Live Loved

You formed my innermost being, shaping my delicate inside and my intricate outside,

and wove them all together in my mother’s womb.

I thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex!

Everything you do is marvelously breathtaking.

It simply amazes me to think about it!

How thoroughly you know me, Lord!

Before you ever drew your first breath, I dreamed of you. I formed you with intention—never rushed, never hurried. Every part of you was crafted with care. Nothing about you is accidental. I delighted in the details that make you uniquely you.

I created you to be, not to perform. My heart aches when I see you strive to earn what has always been your birthright. Your inheritance is love—steadfast, unshakable, freely yours. You never need to work for what has already been given.

My desire is that you live loved, and from that place, love in return. So rest in being the focus of my affection. Live from the safety of my delight. Walk hand in hand with me, and see how all things are being woven together for your good. My grace for you never runs out.

So let your heart set down its bags. Lay aside your defenses. Release every pretense. Settle into the sofa—this place of grace is your home. You belong here, right in the center of my love, mistakes and all.

Breathe. Rest. You will not be asked to leave.

In this space where you are fully known and deeply understood, you will find purpose. You will find security and belonging. Learn to be at home in my love and let the striving cease—cease from trying to earn, from molding yourself into shapes that don’t fit, from becoming a version of yourself that was never meant to be.

Be the beautifully unique, dearly loved one I created you to be.
